La Flor Dominicana 25th Anniversary
A little more than 25 years ago, a former jeweler closed up his successful shop after a savage robbery to turn his attention to a new venture: cigars. Shortly after, Litto Gomez and his wife, Ines Lorenzo, debuted a brand called Los Libertadores. Then in 1996, the couple changed the name to La Flor Dominicana, and the brand has grown into one of the most recognizable names in the handmade cigar industry today.
To celebrate a quarter-century of business, the Cigar Aficionado Hall of Famer is introducing a new limited-edition cigar called La Flor Dominicana 25th Anniversary. The new blend comes in one size only, a 7 inch by 52 ring gauge parejo. It's rolled with a Corojo wrapper grown in Ecuador along with binder and filler tobaccos from Gomez's farms in the Dominican Republic.
The limited 25th Anniversary cigar comes in 25-count boxes that have been painted with a glossy black, piano-lacquer finish. Like all La Flor Dominicana cigars, 25th Anniversary is rolled at Gomez's Tabacalera La Flor S.A. cigar factory in Tamboril, Dominican Republic.
