Porthole is a new, limited edition cigar from La Sirena Cigars. The Gordo (limited to 10,000 cigars) and Corona (limited to 5,000) feature ripe Nicaraguan tobaccos that are wrapped in a gorgeous Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro leaf, while the Toro (limited to 5,000) is the same internal Nicaraguan tobacco blend with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The line has been handcrafted by the La Zona team in Esteli, Nicaragua.
While both cigars share flavors of rich earth, cocoa, sourdough, charred cedar, mineral and blackcurrant, the Connecticut version is medium strength, a bit creamier and a little less spicy, while the Habano Oscuro cigar is not-quite-full-strength with plenty of peppery notes.
