My Father's Flor de las Antillas (or "flower of the Antilles", a name which honors Cuba) is yet another Nicaraguan Puro from the Garcia family, but this cigar is unlike anything the Garcias have blended to date.
Easy to smoke, medium-bodied and with less of the trademark Pepin pepper punch than you might expect, Flor de las Antillas features notes of sweet leather and espresso, with just a touch of exotic wood, all thanks to its gorgeous Sun Grown wrapper. And, if that description wasn't enough, this cigar was the king of the hill in Cigar Aficionado's 2012 Cigar of the Year awards, stealing first place from the competition!
